On the Arcola Theatre
Monday 11th October 2010
London theatre is always changing. The Arcola, one of the more interesting additions to the fringe scene in the past ten years, is moving into a new space, at Dalston Junction, in January. After ten years in its disused factory home, it is being evicted at the end of the year to make way for luxury flats! Great Xmas present! But the good news is that it has found a new space, a former Colourworks building, opposite the new Dalston Junction station. This will be the site of the creation of an expanded home for this innovative venue, one which will incorporate all the theatre, art, community and eco plans it has been developing over recent years. Here are some pictures of the new building; here are some encouraging words; and here is an appeal for money.
